Portugal: Semi-Retirees Now Can Book Vaccines Online

Portugal reached a daily goal of vaccinating 100,000 people on May 6.

Those 60 and older can sign up online for a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, according to SIC Noticias (May 9).

Since the end of April, only those 65 and older could use the online service.

Date of birth, patient number and fiscal number are required for the Directorate of Health (DGS) form. After choosing a location, an appointment day is issued online immediately. An SMS follows with a confirmed time. For English, click on the globe in the upper right:

According to DGS, 1,081,614 people have been fully vaccinated, while 2,797,062 have received the first dose.

The population of Portugal is 10.3 million.
